I have a background in healthcare, spending over a decade working in ophthalmology and retinology, so not only do I understand the importance of daily movement, but I also have a strong understanding of the greater need for general good health and overall wellness. Spending most of my days treating acute onset age-related diseases only strengthened my desire to work in a more proactive and preventative position. Some of these health conditions can be slowed down if not prevented entirely.

I also know the struggle firsthand to lose weight and get in shape. I gained well over 100 pounds with the pregnancy of my twin daughters. I held onto that weight for many years, with little motivation or direction on where to begin. Eventually, I lost the weight with exercise and a well-balanced diet, and I have kept the weight off for over ten years now! During this process, I fell in love with all things fitness related. I am in awe of the strength and tenacity of the human spirit. I love watching people set and reach goals for themselves! My client’s become like family to me, and I take great pride in sharing their successes with them.

My approach to training is fun, energetic, and challenging. I believe that you have to enjoy what you’re doing to want to keep at it. Building strong bodies that will last a lifetime begins now! I would love the opportunity to meet you and help you reach your goals!

    INTERESTS/HOBBIES

I am a mother of 4 daughters, ages 29 and 26, and the twins are 18. While I am now technically an “empty nester,” I still tend to feel like a busy mom some days! I have three dogs, 1 Min-Pin and 2 Akitas, which also keep me very busy! I love to go hiking, especially anywhere near water. I love weight training, and I have started to dabble in boxing classes when I can fit them in.

I trained in dance from ages 4- 21 and continued on to teach and perform for the next 10 years. I came to Personal Training after finishing my degree in Dance and entering my first NPC (National Physique Commitee) competition. After completing my certification in personal training, I began training clients in the Orange County area.

I have always been passionate about health and fitness, and it has been a way of life for me. I love that fitness is an ongoing process and there is always something new to be learned. I love the challenge, accountability, and community that fitness can bring.

My style of training is fun, challenging and adaptable. I enjoy finding ways to help clients meet their goals no matter what type of restrictions, injuries or physical issues going on. I believe that fitness is for everyone, and anyone can benefit from moving their bodies and just getting started! I love the chance to get to know people on a personal level and hopefully make a difference in lives!

    Interest/Hobbies:

I am blessed to be a wife and mom to three wonderful children ages 4, 2 and 6 months! I love spending time outdoors whether it be a walk by the beach, a hike, or a park day with the kids! I love cooking healthy food and baking healthy treats that my whole family will enjoy. I also have the privilege of serving in the Children’s ministry at our home Church! Fitness and family have always been my passions and I love the opportunity to help others better themselves through fitness as well!

    Experience:

I developed a love of fitness at the age of 19. It helped me get through some of the most difficult times in my life. After the passing of my brother, I used exercise and surfing as a discipline to overcome depression and avoid unhealthy habits. I’ve consistently trained in a variety of different styles over the years from strength training to bodybuilding, CrossFit, and yoga. I spent some time training and teaching in a few of those, but my proudest moment was training my wife for her first NPC Competition.

Now with 3 kids, my focus has been on health and longevity. I’ve used myself as an experiment for my studies. I’ve been able to fix chronic issues such as shoulder, knee and back pain. I believe the body wants to heal itself, and a great portion of that can be done through strength training, stretching, and mobility exercises. My training style is adaptable to the client's needs and goals. With the lifestyle of working at a desk all day a lot of problems can arise. The best reward to training is seeing the result of my clients as they overcome shoulder, back, knee & many other pains and coming to a place where they can function and live life to the fullest!

    Interests/Hobbies:

I am grateful to be a Husband and Father of 3 kids. I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, Surfing, Baseball, and tournament slow-pitch softball. We also have our dog hazel who my wife and I got when we first started dating. Since she was a puppy, I have taken her everywhere and she can usually be found lying in my truck when I am at work.
